The Sulphur-Rich Haze and Bloated Atmosphere of WASP-39b
In the quest to understand the atmospheric chemistry of worlds beyond our Solar System, no exoplanet has provided a more revolutionary dataset in recent years than WASP-39b. Located approximately 700 light-years from Earth in the constellation Virgo, this hot Jupiter orbits a sun-like G-type star, WASP-39, which is slightly smaller and less massive than our own Sun.
