In the constellation of Virgo, approximately 200 light-years from Solar System observational platforms, orbits one of the most structurally anomalous exoplanets confirmed by modern astronomical instrumentation. Designated WASP-107b , this transiting gas giant orbits an active K-type main-sequence star, WASP-107, at a physical separation of merely 0.055 astronomical units.
